Walk-in Counselling for Women

The Women's Connection Program at Parkdale Community Health Centre offers free walk-in counselling services for women seeking immediate support, advocacy or referrals to appropriate services.

  • Meet with one of our counsellors without making an appointment.
  •  We provide brief, client-centered, feminist, anti-oppressive counselling.

WHEN: Every Thursday from 1-4 pm (starting Thursday August 9th, 2012)

WHERE: Women's Connection Program, Suite 301, 27 Roncesvalles Avenue (just north of Queen Street West)

Women's Only Guided Nature Hike

The Women's Connection Program at Parkdale Community Health Centre and the High Park Nature Centre are pleased to offer a women's only guided nature hike in High Park. Join us to explore the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Black Oak Savanna in the safety of a group of other women.

This hike will take place on Wednesday September 19th. Meet in front of 27 Roncesvalles Ave (one block north of Queen St W) at 2:30PM. The hike will take place from 3-4:30PM, rain or shine.

Do you have Type 2 Diabetes? You may be eligible for a new research study.

Clinical Research Advantage is seeking men and women to participate in a research study for individuals with Type 2 Diabetes.

This study will examine the role of Vitamin D and calcium supplementation in modulating the pathogensis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Participants will be provided with Vitamin D and calcium supplementation and a $25 gift card from President's Choice.

Participants will be instructed to take Vitamin D and calcium supplementation, return empty bottles, and have a follow-up visit every six months for 36 months.

Qualified candidates must be between 18-75 years of age, have Type 2 Diabetes, and be in general good health.

August Programming Updates

The Living Well Lunch Club will take place on Monday August 13th from 11:30AM to 2PM.

The Gentle Exercise Class now takes place on Fridays from 10:45AM-12PM.

The English Conversation Class for Seniors is cancelled for the month of August.

The Seniors Drop-In has been cancelled for August 21st and 28th.

The LGBTQ Group is back up and running every Friday from 2-4PM.
