Community Development and Capacity Building

Community development is a process that involves active participation of all members of the community.  As a community health centre, PCHC is committed to building on the existing leadership capacity within marginalized communities living in Parkdale.  We know that the health of the individual is linked to the health of the community.  We have a history of engaging in community initiatives that are of value to Parkdale residents.  It is our intention to further our investment in healthy public policy, while engaging our community members in the process.  We are also committed to developing strategic partnerships to increase the visibility of our community development principles, leverage access to services for marginalized Parkdale residents, and build community capacity.
