Finally Understanding Narcotics Group

The Finally Understanding Narcotics (F.U.N. Group) is an open group that includes former and active drug users.  The F.U.N. group provides social support and skills development programming.  Activities within the group include information exchange, harm reduction strategies, general health, HIV and HCV prevention education workshops. The group is a safe space in which members can learn and develop skills and knowledge about issues relevant to their community.

Groups provide peer support and community information.  Group members provide each other support and understanding from a harm reduction perspective.  Group activities include responding to events and changes in the community, advocacy work, group initiatives as well as guest speakers.  Light meals and refreshments are provided.

The F.U.N. group occurs every other month on the third Monday at Parkdale Community Health Centre. The group is co-facilitated by clinical and population health staff.
