Parkdale CHC addresses the needs of seniors through a varity of approaches. Primary care and population health programs aim at improving the physical, emotional and mental well being of seniors as well as providing a range of weekly and ongoing activities.
Over the years PCHC has established a strong and active seniors program. From physicians and nurses providing primary health care, a chiropodist providing foot care, a dietician promoting healthy eating and diabetes care, a physiotherapist assisting seniors with mobility issuees and chronic pain, and social workers assisting with the social and emotion issues that seniors face in the aging process.
In health promotion we also engage seniors in improving their well being through a range of activities, including harnessing their life experience and skills in our Advisory Group and encouraging the development of their civic voice in advocacy.
